The swans are both done now and frankly I am sad. I love making them! It took countless beads, feathers, yards of tulle & organza. I couldn't use hot glue as much as I did on the white one, because it shows terribly on the black. I ended up sewing a pretty good portion. I finally figured out how to make the tutu skirt more stiff and flat (like a pancake)... You have to hand-stitch the layers together! I am uber excited for next weekend when my girl Ali and I get to wear them... makeup, tights, pointe shoes and all! We better practice being graceful, poised, and Natalie-Portman-ish/ Sarah Lane-ish.
